Vision and Values Statement

At Springwell  Junior  School we  believe  PE  &  Sport  plays  an  important  role  in  making  our vision statement a reality for every pupil; Aspire, Create and Achieve. We encourage pupils to try a variety of different sports and our curriculum reflects that. Pupils are also encouraged to join extra-curricular clubs. We believe sport should teach pupil valuable skills, but also be fun and competitive.

Through PE & Sport our children learn to develop the important qualities of discipline, resilience, communication, team work, and ambition, leading to improved concentration, attitude, and academic achievement. Pupils take leadership by being warm up leaders for their class. In addition, we have change 4 life champions and bronze ambassadors.

Pupils regularly compete in a variety of different sports with in their Houses (St Andrews, St Davids, St Georges and St Patricks). Pupils also have the chance to represent the school in different sports and compete against other schools.

We were very pleased to receive Silver in the Sainburys School Games  Mark  for  the 14-15 academic  year. We have been deemed to provide pupils with a good level of competition (internally and externally), offering pupils extra-curricular clubs, providing links with sports clubs, allow pupils to take leadership roles within sports, promoted our success on the website, newsletter and notice board.
