I am happily writing about my visit to the Paul Robeson Theatre at Hounslow Library and my experience of meeting an award-winning author.  My teacher selected me and 14 other Year 6 pupils to participate in the trip because of our fabulous efforts with reading and our hard work, so I am very proud of myself.

I saw the funniest author I have ever seen, Andy Stanton, and he has a song which you could get on a music app (not!). It’s called “It’s question time!” and it goes on for 6 hours! I was bursting with laughter, he engaged really well with the students and teachers and brought the whole audience entertainment.

I felt merry and excited that I had made enough effort with my reading to be selected for this trip and I made sure that I was on my best behaviour as I was representing my school, Springwell Juniors.

What I learnt from the author’s visit is that you should never give up on your dreams and when you get the chance try something new!
